The CIU Master’s in Theological Studies assists students in gaining a better understanding of their part in God’s mission. The program is rigorous and interdisciplinary, emphasizing biblical studies, church history, intercultural studies and theology.
Dr. David Croteau, the associate dean for online studies in the Seminary & School of Ministry says the degree is very flexible with enough electives to tailor it to a student’s preferences.
“It also has an emphasis on integrative research with the capstone course,” Croteau said. "This last course prepares the student to do academic research and begins preparing them for doctoral work.”
Meanwhile, , the director of CIU’s Master of Education in Educational Administration, says this program is unique because theories, models and strategies are examined in light of biblical principles.
“Biblical integration is required in the assignments so the student grows not only in academic content but in spiritual growth as well,” Moore said.
She adds that the ranking points to the quality of the professors in CIU’s College of Education.
“Aligned with their area of expertise, professors at CIU bring not only knowledge but experience to lead the students in discussions and analysis of content,” Moore said.
The M.Ed. Admin. develops knowledge, skills, and dispositions in the broad scope of school administrative responsibilities such as leadership theory, school law, financial principles, faculty and staff supervision, data–informed decision making, strategic planning, and development.
