You’re invited to help solve a mystery in Hoke Auditorium
April 19, 2023
As director of Ƶ’s spring theatre production, Harrison Burnette is excited to bring an Agatha Christy murder mystery to campus. “The Mousetrap” one of the most famous whodunnits in the world, having been enjoyed by theatergoers since 1952.
Burnette, a junior and major, says Christianity influenced Agatha Christy’s writing.
“Most of her plays have an obvious moral message,” Burnette said. “With our show in particular there is a wonderful moral involved,” Burnette added, but stopped short of giving away too much of the plot.
Burnette estimates his cast and crew have put in about 100 hours of rehearsal since January getting ready.
“I’m really, really confident in my cast,” Burnette said. They’re doing an excellent job. Most of them have experience and that’s really helpful. It’s been a wonderful process.”
“The Mousetrap” will be presented in Hoke Auditorium Friday and Saturday April 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday April 30 at 3:00. Tickets are sold at the door.
