A week of friendly competition across campus saw students rally behind the banners of their respective residence hall in the annual Shofar Cup.

Each dorm is represented by a Latin virtue, as students compete for house points. The points are accumulated throughout the year, to determine an overall winner at the end of the Spring semester.

This year the events consisted of House Feud, based off the popular TV trivia show Family Feud, dodgeball, a three-course cooking competition, and an art and poetry show called The Coffee House. Community Life Coordinators, or “CLC’s” helped represent the various houses in planning for each event which occurred over the week.

“I was really impressed by how hard the guys went at the cook off,” said Michael McGinnis, a Bible, and Sport Management major. “It was great to see everybody putting in 110% for the house spirit. I was really impressed by coffee house! Seeing a lot of talented poets who probably wouldn't present stuff otherwise through this creative avenue was really cool.”
