Bethany Rymer drives toward the basket against Bluefield.

January 4, 2024

Bethany Rymer is making headlines in her hometown of Salisbury, North Carolina. The guard for the CIU Rams team didn’t start her college career with the goal of playing basketball. But after some encouragement from the late CIU Athletics Director Darren Richie, and Bethany’s sister , Bethany gave basketball a try. Now she is among the basketball team’s top scorers and rebounders, and every bucket Rymer scores is Ìýin honor of Richie.
