January 4, 2023

The achievements of Ƶ standout this past season have brought her a lot of attention at home in the Salisbury, North Carolina area.

Rymer is the (NCCAA) Player of the Year, the first athlete in CIU history to win national player of the year honors — in any sport.

Additionally, The Salisbury Post newspaper notes she was also named a first team All-American, the third time she’s been an All-American, but the first time she’s been on the first team. She’s the first player from the CIU program to be named a first team All-American.

“Choosing Columbia International is one of the best decisions I ever made,” Rymer told the Post. “When you sign to play college athletics, you don’t think about things like being an All-American or being the Player of the Year. You’re just hoping to be good enough to play.”

Rymer also carries a 3.89 GPA in the classroom as she majors in Business Administration and Sport Management. She also serves on the Student Executive Board.

And one more thing. She is getting married in July.
