The Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design explores ways to solve problems through visual communication. In this program, you’ll learn essential design principles and how to apply those skills.
Graphic designers are responsible for creating the visual design that communicates information effectively. These professionals use design theories, principles and layout techniques to create visual designs that clearly communicate and enhance user experience.
This graphic design degree will teach you the technical foundations of design with industry-leading design software needed for careers in careers in graphic design.
You will study the fundamentals of design, digital photography, illustration, drawing, web design, logo development, corporate branding and more. You will also explore art history along with the latest in design technologies as you learn to create compelling visual communication — all from a Christian worldview. Upon graduation, you’ll possess the transferable skills and competencies you need to succeed as a graphic designer.

You’ll also have opportunities to creatively express your own faith through graphic design.
Our Communication common core is comprehensive and will educate you in essential disciplines that contribute to effective communication. From courses in interpersonal communication and public speaking to media production and digital storytelling, you will gain a comprehensive skill set that encompasses both traditional and emerging forms of communication. Our experienced faculty are seasoned professionals in their respective fields and will guide and mentor you, helping you develop your unique strengths and talents.
The Graphic Design degree equips graduates with a versatile skillset and potential career paths that may include graphic designer, production artist, creative services specialist, motion graphic designer and art director. We also aim to equip the student to communicate Christ creatively in the local church, within para-church organizations and in secular society.
