Authorized Person
In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 (as amended) your educational records and your student account information may not be released to a third party (e.g. your spouse, parents, or sponsor) without your written permission. By creating an authorized payer, you are giving written consent for that individual to view your account information and to make payments towards your account. In addition, you are authorizing ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ to discuss your account information with the authorized payer.
In order for a third party to obtain financial information regarding a students' account, permission must be granted. A FERPA form must be completed by a student to give CIU permission to release financial information to a third party.
An authorized payer will be able to access your financial records and authorize payment plans.
